American Ireland Fund Dinner

The American Ireland Fund Sixth Annual Gala
Phoenix, Arizona - Plans are currently underway for the sixth annual American Ireland Fund Gala which benefits peace, culture and charity, throughout all of Ireland. The Gala will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2000 at the Scottsdale Conference Resort. Cocktails for the black tie affair will begin at 6:00 P.M. on the Sunset Plaza, followed by dinner at 7:00 P.M.
The theme of this year's gala is "When Irish Eyes are Smiling". The 2000 AIF Lifetime Acheivement Award will be given to Bill Keane, Irish American cartoonist and creator of "Family Circus." In addition, the 2000 AIF Heritage Award will be given to Howard Adams, Arizona State Superintendent of Liquor Licenses for his outstanding contributions as an Irish American to Irish culture in Arizona.
This year's emcee is Sean McLaughllin, KPNX weatherman.
Entertainment will be featured throughout the evening including Meadowlark, The McMorrows, Mesa Caledonian Pipe Band, Dancing to the music of Affinity and tentatively a performance is planned by world renown Irish comedian, Hal Roach.
