March 3rd (Sat) - Emerald Ball. The Emerald Ball will be held on March 3rd at the YWCA Conference Center at 9440 N. 25th Ave. The Des Regan Show Band returns after playing here in 1998 and plays dance music. Cocktails are at 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM when dinner starts. The Dancing goes from 8:00 PM to midnight. The price is $35 per person. March 11th (Sun) The Black Brothers, Shay, Michael and Martin, are members of the foremost family of song and are amongst Ireland's finest and most popular singers. Part of the original Black Family singers (which included their now superstar sisters, Mary and Francis Black), the Brothers established themselves in the their own right in 1995 with the release of their CD "What A Time." This special Sunday benefit concert will go to raise funds for the Irish dance and music community. Opening for the Black Brothers will be The Clare Voyants and Irish dancers from the local dance schools. The program will be held at the Red River Music Hall, with door opening at 6:00 PM. March 14th. (Wed) Sheila Maguire and Friends will hold a special performance at the Dubliner. Among the performers will be Jerica Turner of One Eyed Fiona, Billy Brett of The Clare Voyants, and Emmitt Doyle. Starting time will be around 8:30 PM. 602-867-0984
March 15th (Thur) will feature Irish singer Dan Doyle at the Mesa Arts Center. The local Welsh band, Afan will open for him at Noon.
