Dear George,

Many thanks for continuing to send me the newsletter of the Arizona Irish Music Society, I always enjoy reading the newsletter and it is great to keep up with the various music happenings in the state of Arizona. The Saw Doctors have very happy memories of their two visits to Phoenix and we are hoping that we will be able to return to Phoenix in March and April of 2001 - our new studio album, which is provisionally entitled, Villains, will be released in the US in February 2001.

The Saw Doctors are travelling to the USA in August and early September for a series of festival shows, mainly on the east coast with a couple thrown in the mid-west. The big event is the Milwaukee Irish Festival and the Saw Doctors will play 3 concerts over 2 days i.e. Saturday August 19th and Sunday August 20th. The band play the Celtic Rock Stage on the 19th at 10.00, and again on the Celtic Rock Stage on Sunday the 20th, at 8.00pm. Also on Sunday August 20th, the band will play the Old Style Stage at 3.00pm.

Other highlights of the upcoming US tour include a headlining appearance at the Philadelphia Folk Festival on Sunday August 27th, and a one-off, special event concert at the Fleet Boston Pavilion (formally Harborlights), in Boston on Friday August 18th - there are over 3000 tickets sold for this event already, and the organisers are hoping that they will sell out at 5000 capacity.

I'm enclosing at the end of this email a full list of the 15 shows that the Saw Doctors are playing in the States in August and early September, starting in Hampton Beach Casino in New Hampshire on Tuesday August 15th. I'd be very grateful if you could pass the word around amongst your friends in the various cities that the Saw Doctors are visiting about the tour. Since the demise of the Saw Doctors previous US record company, Paradigm Records, last October, the band are very much dependant on good word of mouth publicity among their friends and fans alike in order to boost attendance's at the various shows.
