The Irish Cultural Center is proud to announce that it will host Ambassador John Bruton, Head of Delegation for the European Union to the United States for a dinner. This event is scheduled for April 10, 2006 at 7:00 PM. Tickets to the dinner are $100.00 each and seating is very limited.

Mr. Bruton is a former Irish Prime Minister (Taoiseach), who helped transform the Irish economy into the "Celtic Tiger". Ireland’s economy is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Mr. Bruton was also deeply involved in the Northern Irish Peace Process leading to the 1998 Good Friday Agreement. Before being appointed Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Bruton served as a leading member of the caucus that drafted the first-ever European Constitution that was signed in Rome in 2004. Ambassador Bruton presided over a successful Irish EU Presidency in 1996 and helped finalize the Stability and Growth Pact, which governs the management of the single European currency.

The evening begins with bagpiper music and a demonstration of Irish dance and music students. The Southwest fare is designed by Valley favorite Chef Eddie Matney and served by Corona Ranch. Mr. Matney is affectionately known as “the most colorful chef” in town. His approach to New American Cuisine embraces the belief that the “melting pot theory” applies equally well to cooking as to sociology.

Everyone is welcome, please contact the Irish Cultural Center immediately to reserve your plate today.

Tickets are $100
