Need Irish Male to Read Text      Meg Cavendish
Bandia3@aol.com   09/12/2000

I would like to submit this announcement to your newsletter in the hopes that I might find someone to aid in a recording project. If it fits your format, I would appreciate your assistance. I have composed a draft of my submission, but you may edit it as needed:

Morrighan, a Tucson-based Celtic band, is looking for an Irish man to lend us his voice. We would like to record an Irish man reading lyrics for a song we're currently working on in the studio. If you are interested, please contact Meg Cavendish at 520/881-0568 for more information.

Looking for a Song      Roger Haft/Dededo, Guam
joss@ite.net   09/11/2000

Hello,

I apologize for bothering you, but I am working in the mid-Pacific (Guam) and am having no luck identifying an Irish song and artist that I just saw on a TV special of the Chieftains on A&E. I have just discovered Irish music and am ordering some Chieftains CD's. However, I especially liked the vocal song that closed the show. Not sure the Chieftains do any vocals (haven't found any on ther CD's so far), so I am assuming this was another artist that was playing with the Chieftains.

Found your site looking for this song and I was thinking that if anyone would have seen the special and would know the artist and song, you would. Would appreciate any help you could give.

Flight of the Earls      Peter
peterschittler@utanet.at   08/22/2000

Hi ,saw that you have the lyrics on at http://www.azirishmusic.com/songs/145.htm

We have them online too and we have added the background story about the song, told by the singer whom it was written for: Patsy Watchorn.

This is really nice information for Irish folks (check it out yourself!) and I thought you eventually could add a link to our Flight Of Earls page (/www.patsywatchorn.com/songs/flightofearls.htm ) so that everybody can enjoy this.

Greetings from Vienna, Austria
Peter

Need lyrics of "Croi Craoga"      Lorna Dooley
lornadooley@gmx.de   08/08/2000

Hi!

Great website! I'm an irish musician living in Germany - we're doing a Riverdance style show in November in Munich. One of the songs is causing a real problem - my irish isn't good enough to work out the lyrics of "Croi Craoga". It was recorded by Clannad but I think it's traditional.

Can anyone out there HELP?

Love Lorna

O'Brien Castles and Irish Music, etc.      Marni Allen
mhnaoi@yahoo.com   07/20/2000

Hey! Is there an Irish Music Society, like AIMS, in Southern California that you're aware of? I have moved from your realm! Bummer. But i still like to get your newsletters...see what i'm missing. I could really use something similar to what you offer. I live in a fairly remote part of California now and would love to see a listing of sessions and be aware of what bands are playing nearby and what festivals and events are forthcoming.

Need History on Certain Celtic Songs      Debra Brewbaker
Debrew5396@aol.com   06/10/2000

Hi, I am looking for historical background information about a few celtic songs that will be played at my wedding. I thought it would be interesting to my guests to have a little historical "blurb" under the title of each song (or even the lyrics) in the wedding program. If you can tell me about any of the following songs, it would be helpful and so much appreciated.

Processional: "Gentle Maiden"

Bride's March: "Fanny Power"
