A seven-piece band from the Waterford area of Ireland, Danú greatly impressed two sold-out Tucson audiences, and are returning after a three year absence. Their two CDs out since then are even better than their first two, and Tucson now looks forward to their return. Joining the band is vocalist and whistle player Muireen NicAmhlaoibh, from the Irish speaking area of County Kerry. With a stunning voice and stage presence, plus her playing on whistle duets, she adds a new dimension to an already great band sound.

With fiddle, pipes, accordion, flutes, whistles, bodhran and more, we at In Concert! consider Danu the finest Irish traditional band in the world today.

The Irish Music Awards agree, giving them the Best Traditional Irish Band award in 1999, and the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards gave them best band award in both 2001 and 2004, and with their new vocalist, an award for best live song performance.

In recent news, "Danú will be embarking on a three week long tour in January and February 2006. The highlight of this tour will be a six day visit to India in January with the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and an Irish trade delegation."

Living Traditions Presentations is proud to bring you Danu in concert. Danu are an Irish traditional music group based in an Rinn/Ring, Co.
