Telyneg will be returning to the Irish Cultural
Center in Phoenix to perform its highly acclaimed Christmas show. Last
year was a well-deserved sellout, enjoyed by young and old. This year
there will be new items added and more of Robin's harp as requested, as well as
the perennial favorites such as Dylan Thomas' "A Child's Christmas in
Wales".

Internationally acclaimed triple harp virtuoso
Robin Huw Bowen has received the Glyndwr Award at
the 2000
Machynlleth Festival for "Outstanding Contribution to the Arts in Wales" and the
2001 British Academy of Film and Television Cymru Award (equivalent to an
American Oscar) for best original film score for the Welsh-language film
"Eldra". He has toured
internationally, as a member of the Welsh folk groups Mabsant, Cusan Tan, and
Crasdant, as well as solo, and has recorded a number of
albums.
Actress Eiry Palfrey, a
fellow former member of Mabsant, has worked in theater, films, and as a TV news
anchor, and is currently a producer for Welsh television.

beautiful quilt shown below will be held at the end of the concert
intermission. The quilt was made and
donated to the League by Carol Ann Williams, pictured with the quilt below. Raffle tickets will be available at the
concert for $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00 (you don't have to be present to
win).
