$15.Alex is the Scottish balladeer par-excellence. A glorious voice, delivered with ease and plenty of humor. Len and Kathy Wood will pipe us in!
According to Atlanta Celtic Twilight: "Alex was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and began his professional career with the Cumberland Three, one of Britain's most popular folk singing acts of the sixties. He launched his solo career in New York in 1968. In 1974, he won the International American Song Festival. During the years, he has recorded more than thirteen albums and hosted two full-length musical travelogue videos of Scotland. Although he enjoyed personal success as an entertainer, he founded Glenfinnan Music Ltd. and began to open a market for the traditional singer at the Highland Games that can be found all over the continent, wherever there are people of Scottish heritage."
