About Irish Music Forever
Recent Album: Omnis
Formed in 1987 by composer/arranger Michael McGlynn, the Irish/Celtic choral group An£na has performed with the Chieftains<.a>, Sinead O'Connor, Sting and M ire
Brennan -- though they also record on their own for the Celtic Heartbeat label. An£na, originally known as An Uaithne, performed at international choral festivals and selected churches around Great Britain, but didn't begin to record until two demo tapes appeared in 1991.
Several TV appearances helped promotion as well; by 1993, the group had changed their name and recorded their self-titled first album. A year later, Invocation was released and An£na appeared in a successful touring production, Riverdance - The
Show . Signed to the American Celtic Hearbeat label in 1995, the group re-released both of the first albums and recorded another in 1996, Omnis. (From CD-NOW Biography)

Recent Album: By Request
Chicago-based Arranmore breaks new musical ground by combining the best of Celtic, folk, country and contemporary genres to form its own unique sound. Beautiful harmonies and outstanding musicianship drive such songs as the cult classic "South Side Irish," the haunting original
historical "Illinois & Michigan Canal," the traditional Irish "Fields of Athenry" and the country-steeped "Americana." Whether its whimsy or history, a rouser or a thought-provoking ballad, few do them better than Arranmore. The group includes Bob Keck, Kevin O'Donnell, Gerry
Aylward, Brian Murphy, and Kirk Rende. ~ Allan Shaw, All-Music Guide (From CD-NOW Biography)
