Born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Deirdre Reilly learned at an early age what music historians have always observed -- that the ballads of Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn, and Lorrie Morgan are only a generation removed from the music of Ireland.
At twenty-seven years of age, Deirdre Reilly has reached a rare plateau in the entertainment industry -- she is a popular female headliner in high demand on the Irish-American concert circuit. Deirdre's distinctive style, combining her Irish roots and love of American country music, has delighted audiences from coast to coast. Her concerts always include a combination of Ireland's favorite music along with the best of Nashville's contemporary sound. Her ever-growing audiences love the music and her powerful and uniquely entertaining performance.
Deirdre learned to love and appreciate Irish and American country music through her father, Martin Reilly from Belmullet, Co. Mayo, Ireland. "When I was little, I would sit in his lap as he sang me all of his favorite Irish and country songs. I learned many, many songs by the age of five that way." Her mother, Mary (Hogan) Doherty from Rathcormac, Co. Cork, Ireland, also an avid fan of both Irish and American country music, always encouraged Deirdre to pursue her career in music.
