About Irish Music Forever
Recent Album: Andywhite.Compilation
Irish singer-songwriter Andy White is best known to American audiences as one-third of ALT, along with the Hothouse Flowers' Liam O'Maonlai and ex-Split Enz leader Tim Finn. However, White has been recording since 1986, even if his albums just
began to find American release in the mid-'90s. His debut, Rave On, was a political protest album in the vein of Bob Dylan addressing problems in Ireland and his native Belfast. White followed it with Kiss the Big Stone in 1988 before leaving London Records. Himself appeared in 1990
and was followed by Out There in 1992. 1994's Destination Beautiful was his first album to be released in America, in the wake of ALT's 1995 album and tour. In 1997, Cooking Vinyl released Teenage in America, with plans to reissue White's first two albums and a greatest-hits
collection. ~ Steve Huey, All-Music Guide

Recent Album: Sing Out For Ireland
The Celtic folk group the Wolfe Tones formed in Roscommon, Ireland in 1963, originally comprising brothers Derek and Brian Warfield, Noel Nagle and Tommy Byrne. Naming themselves in honor of Wolfe Tone, one of the founders of the rebel group United Irishmen who is now widely
considered the father of Irish republicanism, the quartet enjoyed a lengthy career that yielded a series of LPs including Let the People Sing, A Sense of Freedom and Across the Broad Atlantic. ~ Raymond McKinney, All-Music Guide (From CD-NOW Biography)
