Blackwood is a traditional Celtic band combining fiery instrumental sets with driving vocal numbers and
sensitive ballads. Their instrumental work is driven by the powerful combination of the fiddle playing of
Jerica Leathers and the flute playing of Sven Henrich accentuated by the unique flavor of Dennis
Putscher's lead and rhythm guitar. The band is often joined by a number of guest musicians including
bodhran great Kevin King. Their songs cover an exciting mix of traditional and contemporary Irish,
Scottish, and Folk.

Jamie O'Brien is a London-Irishman who has sung and played guitar for as long as he can remember. He
delves back into his family's Irish and music hall repertoires, mixing them with songs he's learnt from
friends and fellow musicians over the years.
He's played extensively in a dozen or more countries on two continents, as a group member (F na¡, Laune
Rangers, RHB), an accompanist or solo. He made Pennsylvania his home for nearly two decades before moving
to the Tucson area in 2006. He has a solo album available (My Wild Irish Boy) and looks forward to a new
CD being released later this year.

Most of the material is rousing Irish singalongs in the manner of the Clancy
Brothers and the Irish Rovers, but the band likes to show their instrumental prowess by trotting out the
occasional jig or polka. A smaller portion of the music is from the folk music revival of the
1960s...reworked traditionals and compositions by Peter, Paul and Mary, Gordon Lightfoot and the like.
Then there's the stuff that doesn't fit in any proper category...just following our collective nose to see
where it leads. No purists here...just rowdy entertaining music.

Alan Ross is a 38-year music veteran whose career has spanned the gamut of studio session singer to
recording artist to concert artist.
In the fall of 2003, Ross scored the first No. 1 song of his long career. Bell Rock Light, from the CD
Scottish Influence, topped listener favorites on the Redondo Beach, California, Internet radio station,
Coverunner Radio, staying atop the station's Top 100 through two consecutive listener rating periods.
Scottish Influence currently is being played in 41 countries around the world.
