Bachelor and Bachelorette auctions

Proceeds from auctions, and a portion of proceeds from the pub's sales this evening go to offset medical expenses of Sam Tynker, who performs with Clan Tynker at many fundraisers, renaissance festivals, and other events, including those sponsored by the Society of Creative Anachronism.

From a fan's weblog:
"Sam woke up around Thanksgiving being unable to use his legs. He was diagnosed with a rare birth condition that causes irregular blood flow to the spine, and has had to undergo open back surgery and extensive physical therapy. He is now able to walk with two canes, and everyone who knows his spirit has no doubt he will make a full comeback. But as all self-employed performers, medical insurance is not easily available..."

Come on out and show your support! Still needed are auction items and bachelor/bachelorettes.

Thanks!
Eva

From Viking raids to the spread of Christianity, early medieval Ireland was a tumultuous time radically different to our own in terms of social identities of power, gender, ethnicity and kinship.
