--- IRISH SEISIUN AT PALACE RESTAURANT INPRESCOTT ON OCT 2
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After the Saturday part of the Sharlot Hall Folk Festival on Oct 2, the seisiun will beging at 4:30 PM and run until at least 6:30 PM. It will be held at the Palace Restaurant and Saloon, 120 S Montezuma, Prescott, AZ 86301. 928-541-1996. www.historicpalace.com.
The seisiun returns to the Palace after missing last year's folk festival due to the Irish Festival being the same weekend last year. The Palace has hosted some our biggest seisiuns over the years and this year we are being moved into the main dinning room. The Palace is right across the street from the court house on the town square (on the west side of the square).
There are several reasons why we will only play until around 6:30 PM. First, several players will leave to join the players for the contradance at the Activity Center. Second, others will go to the GIVE WAY concert to be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, as well as going for Celtic music at Celtic Crossing.
I don't have the Sharlot Hall band scheule, but there is always a strong Celtic presence. I will have an information booth and in the past I've been involved in seeting up the Festival's Celtic Jam.

The Irish Foundation of Arizona will meet on Wednesday, 2 September 09, at The Irish Cultural Center, 1106 N. Central Ave., Phoenix at 7:00 P.M. There will be no business meeting, so come join us for a fun-filled episode of Ballykissangel (an Irish television program filmed in Avoca, in the Wicklow area). We hope to see you!
