PLAYGOING DOESN’T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS
– The Wall Street Journal

APPALLINGLY ENTERTAINING
– The New York Times

Bitterly blood curdling and breathtakingly funny. A brazen and unapologetic farce. The Lieutenant of Inishmore tells of a ruthless Irish Liberation Army enforcer and the one thing he loves more than anything else in the world . . . his little black cat, Wee Thomas. Think Monty Python meets Quentin Tarantino - - and it builds to a stunning surprise that has audiences around the world laughing in disbelief.

[EDITOR’S NOTE: Char’s seisiun players will perform Thur through Sun]

The Celtic Reenactment Organization for Fellowship and Trade ‘C.R.O.F.T.’ is an organization dedicated to the preservation and re-creation of Celtic traditions and crafts. We are a group of individuals volunteering our time and skills to demonstrate the crafts and lifestyle of the Celtic people mainly from the time period 400’s to 1700’s. The group participates at festivals, and performs educational demonstrations throughout Arizona. We have been the official Celtic historical group at the Arizona Renaissance Festival for eight years.

Monthly Gatherings are held at the Irish Cultural Center on the 2nd Saturday of every month. The center is located at 1106 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ, 85004, across from the Burton Barr Library. The phone number at the ICC is (602) 258-0109,. The General Meeting starts at 12:30.

This month C.R.O.F.T. will also be participating in "Meet the C.R.O.F.T." on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 7:30 PM at the Irish Cultural Center. Members will be doing costumed demonstrations of traditional crafts and will be available to answer questions at this event.

If you would like more information or are interested in joining our organization please visit our website at www.crofters.org.

7. ANDY IRVINE TO BE AT ZOUKFEST NEXT JUNE

We're very pleased to announce that Andy Irvine will be on staff at ZoukFest 2008 next June at the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico!!!

Since his early days with Sweeney's Men in the 1960s to Planxty, Patrick Street, and Mozaik, Andy has been at the forefront of the revival of Irish traditional music. His virtuosity on the mandolin, mandola and bouzouki, as well as his unique approach to arranging, have made him one of the most influential musicians of his generation. Andy's participation at ZoukFest 2008 is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the greats in a relaxed workshop setting. Don't miss it!

ZoukFest 2008 dates are June 8-14th.

In addition, we'll be hosting the 2nd Annual New Mexico Luthiers Showcase on Sunday, June 8th.

More information about Andy at his website: http://andyirvine.com

We hope you can join us in Santa Fe next June!
