IFA, ICC Academy, and  Four Peaks Irish Arts will join together for a Christmas Potluck, on Sunday, 13 December 09, at the ICC from 1-5 p.m.. 

 

The IFA will provide the turkey, ham, and rolls.  We ask that you bring a potluck dish to share.  To simplify this, we have divided the membership surname list as follows:

 

A-C appetizers,

D-L salads,

M-O side dishes,

P-Z desserts.

 

There will be: a 50/50 raffle and 2 drawings for Academy tuition for 1 term.  In addition, there will be open seisiuns, so bring your instrument and join in the fun.

A quick "hello" to let you know that Meadowlark was at the Tempe Fall Festival of the Arts the three days, Dec.4-6 . We've just released a new compilation CD, "First Light ~ the early years" that includes 74 minutes of music from our very popular first two recordings (now out of print). We'll be performing these and beautiful holiday selections from our "A Silent Night" CD. The new release and the Christmas CD will be available for purchase along with other Meadowlark titles. Hope to see you there and/or at one of the December Holiday concerts mentioned below!

7.   KNOCKABOUTS AT CHARLY'S FRI. DEC. 11TH, 8 PM

 

NOTICE THE TIME! The Knockabouts will be starting a bit earlier this time so mark it down. We have some new tunes we have been working on and we are bringing back some of our old tunes. Take a break from the hectic schedule this time of year and have a beer with us.

 

The Knockabouts will be at Charly's Pub in the Hotel Weatherford, downtown Flag, this Friday, December 11. The music starts at 8 PM and we are really excited about this gig. The Knockabouts have adopted a family to help out this Christmas and people coming to hear us are encouraged to be ready to give. The items that are needed will be posted to our website, www.knockabouts.org by Wednesday. If anyone cannot make the gig but would still like to help out, please check out our website on Wednesday to see how you can help. It should be a great weekend in Flag as we are under a blizzrd warning for Monday night and lasting till Tuesday afternoon If anyone is ready to play in the snow or just take in the great holiday atmosphere of downtown Flagstaff, come on out and have a pint with the Knockabouts.
