PHOENIX KICKS UP ITS HEELS WITH 2ND IRISH FESTIVAL
Kathy Cano-Murillo, The Arizona Republic 10-10-2005

The agenda for the 2002 Arizona Irish Festival includes four-leaf-clover events that celebrate Ireland and all its emerald glory. The second annual party takes place Saturday at the new Irish Cultural Center and the adjoining area of Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix.
Among the family-friendly festivities are performances by Irish step dancers, tin-whistle workshops, step-dance lessons, food booths, face painting, arts and crafts, special appearances by St. Patrick and musical sets by local Celtic-inspired bands the McMorrows, Seanachie and the Clare Voyants.

Radio host Marty Manning will be master of ceremonies and kick off the day's lineup at 11 a.m. by presenting a bagpipe ensemble of several local pipe bands, followed by an invocation by Bishop O'Brien. Proceeds benefit the Irish Cultural Center, the Phoenix Firefighters and Emerald Society Charities.
